Back to School?

I have started college after nearly 30 years of being out of school. My grade is 4.0 so far. The problem is that they had told me I would qualify for $4000 in grant money because I am on Social Security, but it didn't work out that way. The thing that really makes me mad, is that they gave the full amount to some kid who has a full time job, a laptop of his own, and probably parents helping him out. I have none of that. Just because he has some stupid kid, and not married. He has a live-in girlfriend who probably works too. I guess because they have money he needs more than me, who has none? I guess the government thinks since I'm poor I can live poor.
